Nonstop attacking transitions in the qualifiers stage by the East Bengal FC Women’s side are making the statistics on their side, as they scored 18 goals and now will lock horns for the ultimate test, where three very tricky opponents might cause major concerns for the Kolkata outfit despite playing at their own helm, following the game, the team could believe a large number of supporters might look up to support the girls from the stadium.
Firstly, the away side, Ho Chi Minh City WFC, who were the semi-finalists in the same competition in the 2024-25 season and also reached the AWCL 2025-26 Quarter Finals with full effort and now the experienced side makes the path a little bit tough for the hosts.
Dominating their domestic league with continuity, raising their ceiling as the Vietnamese side might target a podium finish this season after reaching the knockouts back-to-back, a proper win at the KBK Stadium will be more than enough to gain the momentum.
For East Bengal FC, a win to kick off their 2026-27 AFC Women’s Champions League would be perfect and set up the rest of the group stages nicely, but a gutting defeat can make things much trickier, as Anthony Andrews’s side needs to maintain a good defensive line to cover the attack of the away side and also focus on their key attacking areas and look forward to burying those important chances with home advantage on their side. The Moshal Girls aim for the tempo from the start.
