East Bengal vs Sabah FA Live Streaming: Where & how to watch AFC Women’s Champions League preliminary stage live?
East Bengal take on Sabah FA in a crucial game.
East Bengal, the champions of the 2025-26 Indian Women’s League (IWL), are back on the Asian stage for another season, this time alongside their male counterparts, who have also made it to the AFC Champions League Two.
The Moshal girls have already started their AFC Women’s Champions League Preliminary Stage campaign earlier this month and are flying high so far. Playing in the preliminary stage, East Bengal must finish at the top of their group to ensure they make it to the main competition, just like they did last season.
So far, Anthony Andrews’ girls have played two games and won both comfortably, securing a four-goal margin victory in their first game before following it up with a massive 12-goal win in the second.
Up next, they face the hosts of Group A, Sabah FA, who are also on six points and trail the torchbearers only on goal difference.
The winner of this game will secure qualification for the main 2026-27 AFC Women’s Champions League tournament.

Although the Moshal girls have eased their way through the preliminary stage so far, scoring 16 goals and conceding none in their two games, the clash against Sabah FA is expected to be a much trickier test and one to keep an eye on.
Like East Bengal, Sabah FA have also won both their opening games. Their first was a 13-0 victory over Rovers FC, whom East Bengal defeated 12-0, while their second was a closely contested 2-1 victory over Bangladeshi side Rajshahi Stars.
With both teams winning their opening two games, the race for the top spot and qualification for the main competition comes down to this game. A win for either side would ensure qualification. As East Bengal have a slightly superior goal difference of +16 compared to Sabah’s +14, even a draw would be enough for East Bengal to finish at the top of the table.
Anthony Andrews, however, the head coach of the East Bengal Women’s team, would be hoping to win the game and secure all three points to extend their winning streak.
The fact that East Bengal eased past Rajshahi Stars with a 4-0 win, while Sabah had to settle for a closely contested victory, could give the Moshal girls a slight mental edge heading into the game.
However, you can never predict the outcome of a football game, and with Sabah FA playing at home as the hosts, there is every chance that they could pull off a win and make it to the final tournament, just as they did in the 2024-25 season.
