We don’t want to suffer anymore!

Suffering has become a very common part of Berserk fans’ lives, as they suffer while waiting for new chapters, no anime adaptation news and more.

It has become a habit and there is no sense of danger; however, recent Adi Shankar comments on X (formerly known as Twitter) have changed everything. Let’s find out more in this article.

Is Adi Shankar really going after Berserk?

Adi Shankar has recently acquired the rights for the Duke Nukem franchise for TV and film adaptation, which does not include gaming rights.

He previously nailed a huge success with the Devil May Cry Netflix adaptation and even Capcom agreed that the adaptation helped them to cross the 10 million units mark for the game.

Despite that, most of the fans were not happy as he changed most of the lore and characters in the series.

The worst part is that Adi Shankar doesn’t care and wants to do whatever he wants. He acts arrogant on X (Twitter) and ragebait fans all the time.

Now, his eyes are set on Berserk. The most famous dark fantasy seinen manga and Kentaro Miura’s legacy.

He made a tweet where he basically said that he will change the lore of the adaptation and self-insert himself as Guts.

The fans’ reactions were not good at all in the comments section and later he corrected himself by saying that this series deserves 1:1 adaptation.

Fans reaction

Most of the fans were not happy in the comments section. One user commented, “The Berserk fandom isn’t the type of fandom you want to mess with. Devil May Cry fandom went too easy on you. All Americans know is bast**d*sing other cultures.”

Another one commented, “You DARE to touch Berserk with your filthy grubby little m*tts and we’re going to have problems. Well, YOU are going to have problems, big problems. DO NOT soil Miura’s magnum opus with another god awful “adaptation” or you’re gonna see the imperial Japanese army marching again.”

Thoughts

Most fans are probably confused as to whether this guy is ragebaiting & trolling, or if he is serious. Do note that the adaptation is not confirmed yet.

Personally, I hope that if the Kentaro Miura team is really looking for an anime adaptation, they would look for a Japanese studio and reject this guy’s offer.

I am 100% sure that Shankar will definitely ruin the legacy of Kentaro Miura. Only Japanese people and an animation studio can truly bring out the faithful adaptation of this masterpiece.
