"I move units of Game": Adi Shankar comments after DMC 5 sold 10 million units

Through a recent press announcement, Capcom revealed that Devil May Cry 5 (DMC 5) set a new milestone, selling 10 million units.

They also credited the Netflix adaptation series to be one of the major driving factors for these sales. Celebrating the success, Adi Shankar took the X by posting some ragebait posts to trigger the fanbase.

Fans are not happy!

After the Capcom press announcement, Adi became active on X and started to post tweets about the DMC 5 success:

“I DID THIS!!!!! I AM THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME!!!!!!! I brought DMC to a new level! I AM THE FRANCHISE RESURRECTOR! I MOVE UNITS OF GAMES!!!!!!! I AM A LEGEND!!!! I SAVE FRANCHISES

I bet, even you can guess at this point, the whole fandom is really pi**ed on this guy. Not only did he butcher the correct lore, but he even butchered Lady and Dante to the whole next level.

Despite that, I enjoyed the Netflix Adaptation and many other fans also liked the series.

I know it’s not 100% that Devil May Cry 5’s recent success is due to the Netflix adaptation, but you can’t deny the fact that it really boosted the sales in recent times.
