Netflix is making yet another Anime Live-Action series!
Just a few hours ago, official Netflix social media accounts shared the information that they are making a Solo Leveling live action series.
They have also cast the main protagonist of the anime, Sung Jinwoo, who will be played by Byeon Woo-seok. Let’s find out more details in this article.
Solo Leveling live action series in the making
Recently, there was data released by Netflix that indicates 50% of their worldwide users now watch anime. These are the stats that were revealed:
- 150M households
- Anime viewership has tripled in 5 years
- 80-90% watch dubbed
So, it isn’t surprising that Netflix is trying to grab this opportunity by bringing one of the most famous Anime of the previous anime season, Solo Leveling and making a live-action series.
They have already cast Sung Jinwoo, who will be played by South Korean model and actor Byeon Woo-seok.
No other information has been revealed yet for the live action series so far, but we will keep you guys updated with any developments.

Do we really need live action series?
I have been watching Anime since I was a kid. My first anime was Dragon Ball, Akira, Shincan, Pokémon, Beyblade and more.
As someone who loves Anime and has deeper knowledge in the industry, we don’t need a Solo Leveling live action series. 90% anime fans will agree with me here.
Every anime-based live-action series is are flop, except for One Piece. That only happened because it was reviewed by Eiichiro Oda himself and he took many breaks from manga, making sure that live action series won’t disappoint the fans.
Let’s be honest, I have zero faith in Netflix nailing an anime live action series. But hey, this is just my opinion.
