Jyothi Surekha Vennam hopes her feat at Asian Games 2023 inspires young kids to take up Archery

Archery struck gold trifecta at Asian Games 2023, creating history!
In a phenomenal display of skill and determination, Jyothi Surekha Vennam, bagged not one, not two, but all three available gold medals in the compound archery events at the Asian Games 2023. This edition was remarkable for the Indian archery contingent as they finished with podium finishes in seven out of 10 events, including recurve and compound.
Jyothi was one of the most successful Indian athletes at the Asian Games alongside Ojas Deotale in compound archery (3 Gold Medals) and Aishwarya Pratap Tomar in shooting (2 Gold, 1 Silver, 1 Bronze Medal). Jyothi clinched her gold medals in the women’s individual, women’s team, and mixed team events, making the country proud with her exceptional performance.
Talking about her triumphant feat, Jyothi Surekha Vennam said, “These victories are a testament to the hard work and dedication of not just myself, but also my coaches, my teammates, and everyone who has believed in me and supported me all these years.

The 16-member Indian archery contingent for the Asian Games 22 has won nine medals for India including five gold medals, and two silver and bronze medals each. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to X and congratulated Jyothi Surekha Vennam for winning her third gold medal at the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022.
PM Modi wrote,“Another proud moment for India! Congratulations to @VJSurekha for clinching her third Gold Medal at the Asian Games in Compound Archery. Her dedication and skill continue to make the nation proud.”
