A five-member contingent will represent India in the event.

The Archery World Cup Final 2024 is all set to take place on October 19-20 in Tlaxcala de Xicohténcatl, Mexico. A total of 32 elite archers will feature at the season-ending World Cup final, eight each in recurve men, recurve women, compound men, and compound women.

These eight archers in each category have qualified for the event by earning gold medals at the Paris Olympics, winning the World Cup stages in Shanghai, Yecheon, and Antalya, and collecting enough points through their performances in the World Cup.

India will be fielding a five-member squad at the Archery World Cup Final 2024, comprising two members from the Paris Olympics squad — Dhiraj Bommadevara in recurve men and Deepika Kumari in recurve women.

Bommadevara was India’s top archer at the Paris Olympics where he showed his brilliance despite a heartbreaking Round of 32 exit in the singles event. He then narrowly missed out on a medal in the mixed recurve discipline, finishing fourth alongside his partner, Ankita Bhakat.

In the compound category, Jyothi Surekha Vennam, a three-time Asian Games gold medalist and multiple World Cup medalist, is one of the most prominent names who will be representing India at the Archery World Cup Final 2024. Meanwhile, Priyansh and Prathamesh Fuge are India’s representatives in the men’s compound category.
