Para-athlete Shrimant Jha added another medal to his tally after he won a Gold medal at the Asia Para-Arm Wrestling Championship held in Uzbekistan, standing in the +85 kg category. This Tournament Began on may 20 To April 26, 2024
After Winning Gold Medal Shrimant Jha Qualified for World Para Armwrestling championship at Moldova.
Jha said that he had prepared well for the international competition and will focus on the upcoming international tournament.

It is a special victory for me. Now I will focus on the upcoming international tournament and will certainly try to make JSP and India proud again,” said Shrimant Jha after winning the medal.
Shrimant Jha, who hails from Chhattisgarh, B has already demonstrated his sportsmanship in many national and international competitions and won many gold medals. Jha is World No. 3 and Asia’s number 1 Para-Arm Wrestler. He has won 48 international medals so far.

The 30-year-old, who was born with four fingers, in both of his hands, had previously won bronze and a silver at the Para-Armwrestling World Championship held in Kazakhstan in September and Asia Championship at U.A.E last year, respectively.
“My parents always had faith in me. My friends in Bhilai-Chhattisgarh also supported me. The only thing I didn’t like was the look on people’s faces when they realised that I have weak arms without fingers. These medals prove that I am special. These medals are not just mine, but of the whole country,” said the 30-year-old para-arm wrestler Shrimant Jha.
