Former Pune City coach Marcos Paqueta sacked by Brazilian outfit Botafogo
The Rio de Janiero outfit have their next Brasileiro Serie A fixture against Parana.
Marcos Paqueta relived from his duties at Botafogo after just five games in charge of the club.
The Brazilian coach was announced as the new coach of ISL side, FC Pune City earlier in June. He was supposed to replace Ranko Popovic for the Stallions. But the Brazilian decided otherwise and proceeded with the offer made by Botafogo terminating his contract with FC Pune City.
Botafogo was in deep trouble and Paqueta had a tough job at his hand. Paqueta replaced Alberto Valentim at the club and his contract ran till 2019. But in the five games in charge, he had a poor record of four defeats and the 1-2 defeat against Nacional was the saturation point which led to his axing. Ze Roberto has been touted as Paqueta's replacement for the Brazilian side.
