Delhi Dynamos set to sign former Mexican sensation and Chelsea man Ulises Dávila
The midfielder has played for various clubs in Europe.
Indian Super League outfit Delhi Dynamos are set to sign Ulises Dávila from Mexico's top division Liga MX club Santos Laguna. The signing is subject to some paperwork, as per our sources. Ulises, who hails from the Guadalajara youth set-up same as former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez, has seen his time on the pitch come in numerous parts of Europe.
He was initially signed by Chelsea in 2011, their first ever Mexican player but failed to impress the numerous bosses at Stamford Bridge in his 5-year contract with them. He was sent on loan to various clubs all over Europe before he was signed by his latest club Santos Laguna.
He traditionally operates just behind the striker, having a knack for distribution of balls up to the wings. He had featured for the Mexico youth sides, winning the 2011 CONCACAF U-20 Championship and finishing third in 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup but failed to feature in a single outing for the first team.

[KH_RELATED_NEWS title="Related News"][/KH_RELATED_NEWS]Josep Gombau's Dynamos are yet to register a single win this season in the nine games so far. They have lost five games and drawn four but the surprising stat is they have only managed to score seven goals. The addition of an attacking player might bolster their chances of scoring more and hopefully winning a game.
It will be particularly interesting to see how the North American fits into the capital side, who are in dire need of a talisman – someone who can find those pockets of spaces, and help in registering their first win of the season.
