Both of the tacticians had very different takes from the game.
FC Goa registered a massive 5-0 win against Mumbai City FC on Wednesday night, which was the biggest win for the Gaurs in this season till now. The Islanders had no answer to the relentless pressure from Goans in the second half. With the win, FC Goa moved to the top of the Indian Super League (ISL) table while Mumbai City dropped down to the seventh position.
The Mumbai City gaffer looked a little bit shaken by the loss when asked about whether his squad’s missed chances early in the first half was to be blamed for the result. ”Yes, Of course. When you lose 5-0, it is very difficult to explain things," Costa said.

“Before the goal, we had two clear opportunities to score. Even the corner, that gave the goal to Goa, we could have scored with Arnold. We tried to press against one team that we knew from before have quality and we did it well," he said.
"I think in the first half we had five to six clear opportunities,” Costa added.
The second half proved to be a one-sided affair. ”I am very disappointed with the result, especially the last thirty minutes, because we gave up. And we cannot give up like that. I know it’s not easy, but we cannot give up.” The Islanders’ head coach continued.
The Mumbai City FC tactician revealed that he wants the players to pull themselves back into the right mentality after the defeat. “They must do it. Even if it’s the same XI or changing players, they must do it. This is our life, this is our job," Costa quipped.
“If we scored first, maybe we could have gone back home with three points. At this level, the small details, the small mistakes matter. When you don’t score and make mistakes, you deserve nothing more than to go home with zero points.” The Portuguese concluded.

The FC Goa tactician, Sergio Lobera was all smiles after his side managed to gain all three points and send a statement to the rest of the league with a thumping 5-0 victory.
Speaking on the first half, where both the teams looked fairly even, Sergio Lobera said “What we had and what we knew for clear was that this was not going to be an easy game and we saw this from the beginning," he started before continuing, "Apart from that, the chances what they had, I think we defended well. And we took advantage of the chances we had and I think in football, ultimately this is what counts.”
“And in the second half, I think we were very good. We were significantly far more superior and after we scored the second goal, I am very happy with the performance of the team.” The Spaniard added.
The substitutes come off the bench and made significant contributions for the Gaurs. ”Like I always maintain, it’s always the team that rises above the individual. Thankfully, we have a team who creates a lot of opportunities and score a lot of goals," Lobera said.

But you know it’s good that we have players who come off the bench and they can also score and it is very important for the rest of the team," the Spaniard added.
