Sigurdsson will play with more confidence against Liverpool- Marco Silva
The English outfit are placed ninth in the league standings.
After admitting in the public that he has the backing of Everton's board, Marco Silva's team produced a 3-nil win over Cardiff City. A brace from Gylfi Sigurdsson sealed the deal for the Toffees as they are now looking to host Liverpool FC on Sunday.
Everton ended their losing streak in their game in Wales as Silva is impressed with the Icelander and has backed him to start against Liverpool.
"All of you are seeing a different Sigurdsson this season," Silva told the media. "You will see, in the next match against Liverpool, Gylfi playing with more confidence."
The coaches at Everton want this win to act as a podium for a long run of positive results. "We hope this is a turning point in our season," Silva added. "We have missed consistency in our team. It was important tonight that we won the game to give us confidence. Sunday, we will be at home with our fans."
Everton have lost nine of the last 14 games including the first Merseyside derby of the Premier League.

If you make mistakes, you get punished, and we were. With ten games to go, we've still got a chance [of survival]. It's up to me now to make sure that we play the right team and have a go. We've got a lot of character and we won't give in without a fight."
