The Belgian attacker has said he would like to work with the Portuguese tactician again.

Eden Hazard has always been an honest person, both on and off the pitch. Recently, the Chelsea talisman made the news when he expressed his desire to play for Real Madrid, claiming that it is his childhood dream.

In a latest turn of events, Hazard has again made a shocking revelation, this time about Jose Mourinho while talking to Belgian newspaper HLN. The 27 year-old expressed his admiration for the former Chelsea boss and stated that he would like to work for him again.

Mourinho has been an exceptional manager for Chelsea during his two spells at the club as the Portuguese led them to three Premier League titles and several other domestic cup victories. The 55 year-old was, however, sacked in 2015 following a disastrous start by the defending champions with losing 9 of their 16 Premier League matches.

Hazard played his part under Mourinho and explained his time with the manager. “The last season under Mourinho was not pleasant anymore, we didn’t win, we got into a sort of routine, training-training without having fun, it was better for all parties that the collaboration came to an end,” he stated.

The few months before his sacking, the relations between Mourinho and Hazard had soured. Even at Manchester United, where he currently serves as the manager, Mourinho has had fallouts with several players including Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and Eric Bailly. However, Hazard claims that it is a part of the manager’s personality to fall out with his squad when things aren’t going well. “If the results are poor, he starts criticizing his players. You know that, but afterwards I’ve been able to accept that, it’s a part of his character.”

Furthermore, the Belgian went on explaining how good the former Inter Milan and Real Madrid manager treats players when the team wins. “If you win, Mourinho is the best coach you can imagine. Want one day off? He gives you two.”

Turning towards his tactical side, Hazard stated, “Even his own image of an extremely defensive coach was not too bad. He is far from adventurous like Guardiola, but the year in which we became champions, we scored a lot of goals and played good games.”

“We had a team to get a lot of prizes, but we just ended up in a negative spiral,” he added.

“I do not regret many things in my career, but that I have not been able to work with Mourinho at Chelsea anymore (is one).”
