Young manager, getting incredible results- Pep Guardiola
The Spanish tactician is impressed by the way Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has kicked off his career in Manchester.
Manchester City's gaffer Pep Guardiola was full of praise for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on his extraordinary winning run since his appointment at Guardiola's cross-city rivals Manchester United.
The Red Devils have won every game since the Premier League loss to Liverpool and the departure of Jose Mourinho. Solskjaer equalled Sir Matt Busby's record of winning five straight opening games along the way.
But to be remembered as the United manager to have the best start in history, the 45-year-old Norwegian face a grim challenge against Tottenham on Sunday.
The environment around Old Trafford seems restored since the arrival of Ole. Ole is currently appointed as the caretaker manager but is also in contention for a full-time job.
Talking to Pep Guardiola about Ole after City's 9-0 win against Burton, Guardiola told the reporters, "His start is much better than mine, I lost my first game and drew the second [after being appointed in 2016]."
He continued, "He won all the games. He is a young manager, getting incredible results. I saw a few minutes of games they played and they played good. But it is not my business to talk about other opponents, we have a tough game around the corner against Wolves."
