Lucas Moura and Javi Garcia win monthly Premier League accolades

This is the first time the Brazilian and the Spanish manager have won their respective awards.
The first player and manager to win the star performers of the month for this season are Lucas Moura and Javi Garcia. The Brazilian scored three goals in three matches in August 2018, while Watford under the 48-year old gaffer have maintained a three-game winning streak in England's top tier.
The former Paris Saint-Germain star scored his first goal for the north Londoners with a superb curling strike against Fulham before adding a brace in Tottenham’s memorable 3-0 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Lucas has been one of the first names in the team sheet for Mauricio Pochettino this season, benefiting from Heung-min Son's absence and a full pre-season campaign working with the Argentine after a difficult start to life at the club following his arrival from PSG last January.
Playing in a more advanced role just off striker Harry Kane, the Brazilian has eased the goalscoring burden on the England international, scoring three of the total eight goals the Lillywhites has scored.
