Since Pep arrived, Raheem is in another world- Yaya Toure
Former Manchester City player Yaya Touré has asserted that he thinks Pep Guardiola has taken Raheem Sterling to ‘another world’ and has played a crucial role in developing the raw diamond that was Raheem into a world class player at the Etihad.
Raheem is favourite in many bookies’ race to win the PFA Player of the Year this season with his stunning displays all over the season. Sterling has found the back of the net 15 times and assisted another nine goals to his teammates in 28 games. Manchester City are in firm contention to retain their Premier league title amid a strong challenge from Sterling’s former side Liverpool.
Sterling was also instrumental in City’s record 100-point league campaign last year as he scored a career high of 18 goals and 11 assists but will surely be topping those numbers this season. Raheem, still 24 has his best years ahead of him and Manchester City legend and Sterling’s former teammate, Yaya Toure thinks Sterling deserves the shouts he has been getting for the best player in the Premier League this season.

Toure was also quick to praise the massive improvement in Sterling’s game ever since Guardiola and credits the Catalan with this excellent development.
"Raheem, my little brother, joined when [Manuel] Pellegrini was at the club. Since Pep arrived Raheem is in another world. He is complete," he told the Mirror.
"Pep has given him the confidence he has needed. When he played for Liverpool I was always scared of him because he is short and so fast, so quick. Him and [Luis] Suárez and [Philippe] Coutinho? They were unplayable.
"But when he first arrived at City I had to ask myself [whether] it was the right choice for him because he was struggling a lot.
"He had a lot of criticism, and it was hard for him. But he continued to work and now he deserves the Player of the Year.

It was clear ever since Raheem broke into the Liverpool first team that he had immense potential but his temperament and final product had a huge room for improvement. That has seen an exponential development under Guardiola and also, in part due to his own hard work.
