Manchester United fans set to fly protest banner in game against Burnley

The move is believed to be against club CEO Ed Woodward's recent policies.
Manchester United were expected to start this season on a high a the sublime Brighton & Hove Albion side burst the bubble around the Red Devils and their fans. With the lack of transfer activities, United fans were boiling and the away defeat in the game week two was the final nail in the coffin.
According to reports in England, a major section of United fans are planning to fly a banner from a plane calling for Ed Woodward’s head at Old Trafford when they face Burnley next weekend.
Jose Mourinho has been in the spotlight for their second-place finish last season and then failing to win the FA Cup and not being able to find the best of the team yet in more than two years. The fans, on the other hand, have sidelined him to blame the person-in-charge of the club, Ed Woodward.
According to the Mail, the target of fans’ anger is the board, with Woodward set to be targeted on their banner, as well as the club owners – the Glazer family.
Woodward has been at odds with manager Jose Mourinho over United's transfer policy this summer despite spending £400million on new players since appointing the Portuguese coach two years ago.

The Manchester United CEO came under criticism from former Old Trafford favourite Gary Neville few days ago who claimed that Woodward has undermined Mourinho after giving him a new contract in January.
'It's painful to think how it's played out these last five or six years,' said Neville. 'If Ed Woodward was going to doubt Jose Mourinho, then the time to be doubting him was last January.

United are understood to be looking at appointing a director of football to oversee the club's recruitment policy in future while Ed would focus on the business side of the club.
