There were several reports that claimed that most of the players have cornered the young Spanish custodian.

Chelsea midfielder Pedro assures that the Chelsea dressing room had no adverse effect because of the Kepa Arrizabalaga substitution issues in their Carabao Cup final defeat against Manchester City.

The former Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper who was also Chelsea's record signing last summer refused to be substituted at Wembley late on in the Carabao Cup final saw him fined one week’s wage and subsequently dropped for Willy Caballero in Tuesday crucial win over Tottenham.

The incident was not taken lightly by the football fans all over the world and it also raised questions on Maurizio Sarri's control and respect among the players in the team. There were several reports that claimed that most of the players have cornered the young Spanish custodian. However last night's performances against Tottenham in a 2-0 win proves that the team is in great shape and everything that has happened is in the past now.

Speaking to ESPN former Barcelona and current Chelsea midfielder Pedro said that he has heard about the rumours and has remained united with the team.

“There has been a lot of talk this week and that always destabilises [things] a little, but the truth is that in the dressing room we are together, as a great team,” he said.

“We have not given much importance to everything that has been talked about and in the end that is the most important thing.

“We have all talked to each other in the dressing room. We’ve also talked to Willy and we’ve talked to the coach. The truth is that we have solved all the problems and I think it has been a [small] incident rather than a serious problem.

“It always serves to learn. We are with Kepa, with Willy and with the manager. This is the path that we have to follow. Now we need to get ready very well for the match against Fulham because it is another final.”

The Blues are fighting for the top four spots with Arsenal and Manchester United, and are currently in sixth position and two points under the Red Devils with a game in hand. Unai Emery's men are on the fourth position but the Gunners will host Spurs in the North London derby next and it is a great opportunity for Sarri's men to capitalize on any chance that comes their way.

With Carabao Cup history, Sarri is looking to finish on a high with a top-four finish in the Premier League and also winning the Europa League where they face Ukrainian giants Dynamo Kyiv in the round of 16. The Blues face Fulham next in the Premier League on Sunday.
