AS Roma to auction first-team jerseys for Kerala flood relief fund
The shirts of Kostal Manolas, Alessandro Florenzi, Patrik Schick, Aleksandar Kolarov and Lorenzo Pellegrini will be given away.
Staying true to their words, Serie A giants AS Roma have revealed how they will be helping donate to the Kerala Chief Minister's flood relief fund. The club announced via their Twitter handle that they will be auctioning the jerseys of the goalscorers and three additional first-team members from the draw against Atlanta in Gameweek 2. Alessandro Florenzi and Kostas Manolas had scored, meanwhile, the shirts of Patrik Schick, Aleksandar Kolarov, and Lorenzo Pellegrini will also be sold. All five of them had played in that fixture.

The South Indian state witnessed one of its worst natural disasters in a long time. The region has lost many lives, and property loss and damage has been rampant due to the massive flooding and landslides. Thousands have been left homeless too, with lakhs of people relocating themselves to relief shelters.
Earlier the Italian club had announced that they would auction off five match-worn jerseys of their first-team players after their first home fixture of the season, which was played against Torino.

The club had stated, "After #ASRoma’s first home match of the Serie A season, the club will auction off five match-worn shirts from our first team players to help raise money to donate to the disaster fund to #RebuildKerala".

Officials and the Indian army have been assigned to helo and rescue all the affected people who are still stranded in affected areas across the state.

Recently even the Anfield club's CEO announced on Twitter, "Dear @KeralaReds Our international supporters liaison team will be in contact to see what we can do to help. Thank you for reaching out, and please know that all of us here @LFC are thinking about you in this time of extreme difficulty #YNWA," came the response from Moore in solidarity with the victims. YNWA or 'You will never walk alone,' is the club's official anthem."
Bengaluru FC have also sorted out a donation drive for collecting relief material which will be sent to Kerala to help the people. Indian national team skipper Sunil Chhetri had also earlier asked everyone to give support for the wrecked state.
