Liverpool FC live up to their YNWA motto, promise to help Kerala flood victims

Due to the flooding, it is being alleged that property loss in the South Indian state has amounted close to ₹20,000 crores.

The onrush of continuous rain in Kerala has made the state witness the worst floods in its history. As per the latest data from the State Disaster Management, around 194 people have been reported dead due to the flooding. Lakhs of people have been relocated to relief camps, while others have been left stranded in various cities and towns across the state. Now, the state will be receiving more help from Premier League outfit Liverpool.

Earlier the South Indian state's official Liverpool supporters group (Kerala Reds) had asked for support from fans. The Anfield club's CEO Peter Moore himself responded to their post on Twitter.

The Kerala Reds had tweeted, "Dear Reds, Kerala is going through one of its biggest natural disasters in its history. We are doing our best to help the people in need. It would be great if you all can spread the message and donate".

YNWA is the English club's official motto which means 'You will never walk alone.'

The Indian state has a huge fan-base of Indian as well as European football. The massive flooding with all dams opened has sent the state into a paniced frenzy, affecting both life and property. It is being alleged that property loss is around ₹20,000 crores.

Rescue operations are currently underway with donations and support pouring in from all across the nation and the world. The government has also revealed that it will be providing an additional ₹500 crore financial support. The sporting community tooo has come in to support with Indian Super League club Bengaluru FC having collected relief funds and essential materials for the victims which will be sent to Kerala.
