Sony Pictures announce telecast details ahead of FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017

Sunil Chhetri, Bhaichung Bhutia and Renedy Singh will add the National taste to the European experience of David Moyes, Stuart Pearce and former ISL star Luis Garcia. 

With two days to go to the biggest football tournament to be hosted in India host broadcaster, Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN) has announced its programming initiatives for the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017 India designed to enhance the viewing experience for the audience. The sports cluster of the network is all set to telecast the 22-day tournament in three language feeds – English, Hindi and Bengali on its SONY TEN 2, SONY TEN 3 and SONY ESPN channels.

SPN has also given football fans another reason to look forward to the tournament with the return of its flagship studio show, Football Extraaa. The live studio show will be hosted by Seema Jaswal, TV presenter and known sports enthusiast and will feature expert international panellists like former Spain international and Barcelona and Liverpool star Luis García, former Manchester City and England U-21s manager Stuart Pearce as well as former Everton and Manchester United tactician David Moyes. The international football experts will share the screen space with Indian stalwarts like the former and current India captains Bhaichung Bhutia and Sunil Chhetri as well as former India international Renedy Singh.

Football Extraaa will be aired during the course of the tournament with a pre-show at 4:15 pm followed by a mid-show and post-show. The studio show will serve not only football enthusiasts with match analysis & insights, statistics and interesting trivia but also appeal to bench viewers alike. The show was first telecast during one of the biggest international football tournaments of 2016, the UEFA Euro Championships.
