India at Asian Games 2026: Table Tennis schedule, squad, & live streaming details
India have sent 10 paddlers to the Aichi-Nagoya Games.
India will field a compact but experienced table tennis squad at the Asian Games 2026, set to run in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, from September 19 to October 4. The Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) finalised this group back in June, well ahead of the Games.
Sathiyan Gnanasekaran will lead the men’s team and is the team’s most experienced player. He was a key figure in the men’s team, claiming a historic bronze at the 2018 Games, and has since represented India at the Tokyo Olympics, making him the natural choice to captain the men’s line-up this time around.
He won’t be carrying that experience alone. Harmeet Desai, a double Commonwealth Games gold medallist who also featured in that bronze-winning 2018 squad, travels to Japan again.
On the women’s side, national champion Sreeja Akula takes the lead. She struck mixed doubles gold at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and comes to Aichi-Nagoya as one of India’s brightest paddling prospects.
