Suruchi Singh
Suruchi Singh delivered one of India’s most memorable performances. Partnering with Kamaljeet in the 10m air pistol mixed team event, she won gold and helped India claim its first shooting gold of the Asian Games.
The pair also set a new Asian Games record in the final, registering a score of 484.6. Suruchi’s gold was a major highlight of India’s pistol campaign.
Himanshu Dhillon
Himanshu Dhillon was another major contributor in the men’s 10m air rifle competition. He won silver in the individual event and then helped India secure another silver in the team competition alongside Rudrankksh Patil and Parth Mane.
His two-medal campaign underlined India’s strength in the men’s air rifle discipline.
Elavenil Valarivan
Elavenil Valarivan opened India’s shooting medal campaign with a silver in the women’s 10m air rifle individual event. She also played a key role in India’s silver-medal finish in the women’s 10m air rifle team event alongside Sonam Maskar and Vidarsa Vinod.
Her individual silver was particularly significant because it was India’s first shooting medal at the Games. Valarivan’s consistency helped India make an early impact in the rifle events.
Rudrankksh Patil
Rudrankksh Patil enjoyed a productive Asian Games campaign across rifle events. He won bronze in the men’s 10m air rifle individual event and helped India win silver in the men’s 10m air rifle team competition.
He added another silver as part of the Indian men’s 50m rifle three-position team alongside Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar and Niraj Kumar. His three medals made him one of India’s most successful shooters at the 2026 Games.
Neeru Dhanda
Neeru Dhanda emerged as one of India’s standout performers in Nagoya. She won gold in the women’s trap individual event, becoming the first Indian woman to win Asian Games gold in the discipline.
She followed that performance by joining Manisha Keer and Aashima Ahlawat for a silver in the women’s trap team event.
Neeru then produced another remarkable performance in the mixed team event. Partnering with Kynan Chenai, she won gold and set a new Asian Games record. Thus, her campaign included three medals (2 gold and 1 silver).
