Asian Games 2026: Himanshu Dhillon bags silver, Rudrankksh Patil bronze in men's 10m air rifle
India added three more medals to their shooting tally at the Asian Games 2026, highlighted by a double podium finish.
India continued their fine run at Asian Games 2026 with a silver-bronze finish in the individual final and a team silver in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle.
Himanshu Dhillon clinched individual silver, while Rudrankksh Patil secured bronze in a fiercely contested final featuring eight shooters, with China’s Sheng Lihao taking gold.

After the opening 15 shots, Rudrankksh was in pole position. At that time, Himanshu was also in second place. However, the standings changed as the final progressed, with China’s Sheng Lihao eventually taking the top spot.
Himanshu produced a strong performance in the individual final to claim silver with 252.4 points. Sheng Lihao won gold with 254.2, while Rudrankksh took bronze with 230.9.
The result gave India two individual medals from the men’s 10m air rifle event, with Himanshu finishing second and Rudrankksh third.
Three medals from men’s 10m air rifle
The men’s 10m air rifle competition therefore produced three medals for India when the team and individual events are combined. The team silver was followed by Himanshu’s individual silver and Rudrankksh’s bronze.
Earlier on Sunday, India secured two silver medals, with Elavenil Valarivan claiming individual silver before also featuring in the women’s 10m air rifle team that finished runners-up.
With the men’s 10m air rifle adding three more medals, India’s shooting campaign at Aichi-Nagoya 2026 continued to produce results across both team and individual competitions.
