How much did Pranavi Urs receive in cash prize for historic gold at Asian Games 2026?

Pranavi Urs made history in Aichi-Nagoya.
The Indian women’s golfing contingent enjoyed a historic campaign at the Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. The three-member squad was headlined by Pranavi Urs, who became the first Indian woman to win an individual golf gold at the continental tournament.
The 23-year-old golfer from Karnataka carded rounds of 66, 63, 66 and 70 to finish at 15-under 265. Her final round featured three birdies and a triple bogey, but she still finished a shot clear of the field. China’s Yin Ruoning clinched silver, and Singapore’s Shannon Tan won bronze.
Pranavi’s victory not only made her the first Indian woman to win an individual golf gold at the Asian Games, but also ended India’s 24-year wait for an individual golf title at the continental event. Shiv Kapur was the last Indian golfer who achieved this feat, clinching the men’s title at the 2002 Busan Games.
Pranavi’s performance also powered the three-member Indian women’s team, alongside Aditi Ashok and Diksha Dagar, to a silver medal in the team event. India finished second at 14-under 546. China clinched the gold medal in the event.
