The Asian Games 2026 opening ceremony will officially signal the start of the 20th edition of the continental tournament on Saturday, September 19.

The theme of the ceremony is Harmonic Heart Beat, with Nagoya-born filmmaker Yukihiko Tsutsumi leading the creative direction. The flagbearers from all participating delegations will take part in the ceremony, along with performances prepared by the organisers.
