After smashing her own meet record in the women's 100m hurdles with an astonishing time of 12.89 seconds in her specialty, Jyothi Yarraji continued to impress in the highly challenging women's 200m race. Her winning time of 23.42 seconds surpassed the qualifying mark of 23.50 seconds set by the Athletics Federation of India for the upcoming Asian Athletics Championships in July. This top-notch performance by the 23-year-old from Andhra Pradesh solidified her position in the national team.

Rajesh Ramesh

Rajesh Ramesh, the 24-year-old quarter-miler from Tamil Nadu delivered an exceptional performance that surpassed the national record-holder Muhammed Anas to secure the gold medal with a remarkable personal best time of 45.75 seconds. This outstanding achievement not only made Rajesh the leader in the Men's 400 meter event in India but also secured his position in the national team for the Asian Athletics Championships. Rajesh's previous best time of 46.09 seconds was significantly surpassed.

Rohit Yadav

The Birsa Munda Stadium in Ranchi was set ablaze by the remarkable performance of the 21-year-old javelin thrower, Rohit Yadav, during the final day of the Federation Cup 2023 athletics meet. Rohit Yadav displayed exceptional skill and precision and achieved the remarkable feat of crossing the 80-meter mark five times out of six attempts.

He began with a throw of 83.10 meters and further improved it to an outstanding gold medal-winning throw of 83.40 meters on his second attempt. His subsequent throws measured 83.01 meters, 79.19 meters, 80.00 meters, and 81.46 meters, showcasing his consistent prowess.

Amiya Kumar Mallick

In a sensational display of speed, Amiya Kumar Mallick hailing from Odisha dominated the men's 100m sprint clinching the gold medal with an impressive time of 10.31 seconds. Although his achievement was remarkable, it fell short of meeting the demanding Asian Championships qualifying standard of 10.19 seconds.

Amlan Borgohain

In the thrilling men's 200m final, the athlete from Assam, Amlan Borgohain, who holds the national record left no doubt about his exceptional talent and determination as he claimed victory in the race with an impressive time of 20.83 seconds.
