This is the fourth Diamond League meeting for Avinash Sable this season.
The Xiamen Diamond League 2023 will mark its debut in Xiamen, China on 2nd September. Xiamen's 53,000-capacity Egret Stadium will serve as the penultimate stop for Diamond League 2023 and is set to host 13 disciplines ahead of the season's finals in Eugene, USA.
This is a very crucial juncture in the competition for the athletes. The tournament will feature some of the top faces from last month's World Athletics Championships 2023 held in Budapest, Hungary. A list that includes the top three from the men's 800 m which is led by Canada's Marco Arop.
Ukraine's High jump world champion Yaroslava Mahuchikh will be seen in action along with Eleanor Patterson. The Australian was a silver medallist at the World Athletics Championships. In addition to this, three-time 110m hurdles world champion Grant Holloway will face Olympic gold medalist Hansle Parchment of Jamaica.
Meanwhile, India will be represented by three athletes for the prestigious event. It includes the likes of Avinash Sable, Praveen Chithravel and Abdulla Aboobacker. National record holder Sable, will be be contesting in his fourth Diamond League event this season. On the other hand, Praveen Chitravel and Abdulla Aboobacker are set to participate in their second Diamond League meet ever.
