The Diamond League 2026 Final heads to its final day with several top athletes in action. Day 2 will begin with the women’s javelin throw followed by the men’s shot put and triple jump final.
The main focus, however, will be on the men’s javelin throw, where Sri Lanka’s Rumesh Pathirage will eye his first season-end Diamond League title.
With a world-leading 92.62m throw, Pathirage—who arrives in Brussels after winning the javelin throw events in Rome, Doha, Lausanne and Zurich meets—is the overwhelming favourite.

In the absence of Neeraj Chopra and reigning Olympic champion Arshad Nadeem, Anderson Peters, Keshorn Walcott and Curtis Thompson will be his main rivals in the event.
Neeraj had qualified for Diamond League 2026 Final, however, his season was cut short shortly after the Lausanne DL due to a ligament tear in his ankle.
