Neeraj Chopra will not be featuring in Diamond League 2026 Final
After 14 meetings of the Diamond League series, the world’s best athletes will assemble in Brussels, Belgium, for the season’s finale on September 4 & 5. The two-day meeting will crown Diamond League champions in each of the 32 disciplines across men’s and women’s categories.
Mondo Duplantis, the biggest star in the field and the world-record holder, will be in action. He will face strong competition as Emmanouil Karalis recently cleared the 6.20 mark in Zurich.
Some of the other stars who are set to be in action are Julien Alfred (Sprints), Oblique Seville (Sprints), Masai Russell (Hurdles), Alison dos Santos (Hurdles), Yaroslava Mahuchikh (High Jump), Miltiadis Tentoglou (Long Jump), Hana Moll (Pole Vault), Rumesh Tharanga Pathirage (Javelin), and Anderson Peters (Javelin).
Unfortunately, Indian javelin sensation Neeraj Chopra was forced to withdraw from the Final due to an ankle ligament tear injury. This means that no Indian will feature in the 2026 Diamond League Final.

The first day of the Final, on September 4, will see 16 Diamond League champions crowned, with the remaining 16 winners decided on September 5, the final day of the competition. Know everything about the tournament here:
