The Diamond League 2026 season comes to a close this week with the season finale scheduled for September 4 and 5 at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels, Belgium.
Fourteen meetings have already taken place across the world this year, and the Brussels finale will decide the champions in all 32 disciplines, which are split evenly between men’s and women’s events.

Besides them, many other top athletes will also take part. This includes Julien Alfred and Oblique Seville in sprints, Masai Russell and Alison dos Santos in hurdles, Yaroslava Mahuchikh in the high jump, Miltiadis Tentoglou in the long jump, Hana Moll in the pole vault and both Rumesh Tharanga Pathirage and Anderson Peters in the javelin throw.
On the opening day, September 4, winners will be decided in 16 events. The remaining 16 events will be completed on the second day, September 5. Almost every track and field event is part of this two-day final, from the 100m sprint to the 3,000m steeplechase, including the shot put and triple jump.
