National Federation Senior Athletics Competition 2025: Updated full schedule, fixtures & live streaming details

Several big names of Indian athletics are participating in the Federation Cup.
The National Federation Senior Athletics Competition 2025 is scheduled from April 21-24. It is a four-day event that will be held at the Maharajas College Stadium, Ernakulam, Kerala. This competition will be crucial for athletes aiming to qualify for Asian Athletics Championships as they can secure a spot in the tournament by breaching the qualification mark set by the Athletics Federation of India (AFI).
Several of India’s biggest names in athletics will participate in the tournament, making it highly competitive. In the men’s 100m, the battle to watch out for will be between the current national record holder, Gurindervir Singh, and the former national record holder, Manikanta Hoblidhar.
Some other big names are Animesh Kujur, Abhay Singh, and the 200 m national record holder Amlan Borgohain. In 200m, Manikanta, Animesh, Abhay and Amlan will battle it out for the gold, with the latter being the favourite to win the gold.
In the men’s 400m, alongside seasonal campaigners Amoj Jacob and national record holder Muhammed Anas Yahiya, we also have youngster Jay Kumar, who has done well at the Junior World Championships, reaching the finals. Alongside them some other names to watch out for are Tushar Kanti, Rince Joseph and Vishal.
In the Men’s 800m, the 2023 Asian Championships silver medalist Krishan Kumar and the 2022 Asian Games silver medalist Mohammed Afsal will be up against each other.
Ajay Kumar Saroj will be the favourite to win the 1500m. In the 400m hurdles, Tokyo Olympian MP Jabir will participate and will look to regain his form back. Olympian Sarvesh Anil Kushare will participate in the high jump competition, aiming to improve his personal best. Meanwhile, national games champion Adarsh Ram from Tamil Nadu will also participate.
Dev Meena will look to shatter another national record in the men’s pole vault. Currently, he is training with Cuban coach Angel Garcia Esteban. The Asian U20 bronze medalist will look to better his national record. Alongside him, there is also youngster, Kuldeep Kumar, from UP. In the men’s long jump, Muhammed Anas Yahiya and Jeswin Aldrin will be the favourites to win gold.

Men’s triple jump will also be an event to watch out for as the Asian Games bronze medalist Praveen Chitravel and Commonwealth Games silver medalist Abdulla Aboobacker will give tough competition to each other for the title.
Meanwhile, two-time Olympian and the current national record holder in men’s shotput, Tajinderpal Singh Toor will look to improve his performance and will aim to breach the 20m mark. Alongside him, there is National Games silver medalist Samardeep Gill, who will also look to throw beyond 20m.
In men’s javelin throw, Rohit Yadav, Sahil Silwal, Vikrant Malik, Sachin Yadav and the Asian Games silver medalist Kishore Kumar Jena will be competing.
Coming to the women’s event, Priya Mohan, Nithya Ramraj and Nithya Gandhe will be participating in the 100m. Priya and Nithya Gandhe will also compete in the 200m. Alongside them, there are Jyothi Yarraji, Sarbani Nanda also.
Some big names in the 400m are Jisna Mathew, Vithya Ramraj, Rupal and Subha Venkatesan. In women’s hurdles, national record holder Jyothi Yarraji and Nithya Ramraj will participate. Whereas Vithya Ramraj will participate in the 400m hurdles. Youngster Pooja will be in the high jump and will look to breach her personal best.
The women’s long jump also has a lot of top Indian athletes—Asian Games silver medalist Ancy Sojan along with Moumita Mondal will be the favourites to win the title. Ancy has a personal best of 6.71m while Moumita who also participate in the 100m hurdle has a personal best of 6.41m. Youngster Shaili Singh will also be the title contender. She has a personal best of 6.76m
In the women’s discus throw, there are a lot of youngsters who will hope to make their mark in the competition. Arshdeep, Amanat, Priyanshi and Nikita are all less then 21 years of age. Nandini Agasara will be the favourite to win gold in the heptathlon. Moumita Mondal will also be the athlete to watch out for.

The competition will be played at the Maharajas College Stadium, Ernakulam, Kerala and is scheduled to be held from April 21 to 24.
