2012 Olympics gold medalist, Keshorn Walcott ranks fifth among athletes on the list of top throws this season. During the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, World No. 2 produced an 88.16m throw and secured a gold medal.
Walcott had been performing well throughout the season, delivering throws of over 80m, but was unable to secure enough podium finish before the showpiece event. His all-time best throw of 90.16m came in July 2015 at the Lausanne Diamond League.
#4 Anderson Peters – 89.53m

Another veteran athlete, who performed well in the 2025 season was Anderson Peters. He achieved his best throw in the qualification round of the World Athletics Championships.
The World No. 4 finished first in his group with his throw of 89.53m, and then went on to win a silver medal in the final after his best attempt of 87.38m. Peters’ personal best came in May 2022 at the Doha Diamond League, where he posted a 93.07m throw.
#3 Neeraj Chopra – 90.23m

India’s finest track and field athlete, Neeraj Chopra finally broke through his long-standing barrier in the 2025 season. Chopra achieved the feat during the Doha Diamond League in May, registering a throw of 90.23 and winning a silver medal.
Notably, Chopra finished in the top two in 26 consecutive tournaments from June 2021 to September 2025. The streak came to an end in the World Athletics Championships, when the World No. 3 finished eighth with a throw of 84.03m.

#2 Luiz Mauricio da Silva – 91m
Brazilian javelin star, Luiz Maurício da Silva achieved his personal best throw this season, which puts him in the second position on this list. He produced a throw of 91m at the Brazilian Athletics Trophy in São Paulo in August.
Silva participated in the World Athletics Championships and finished ninth with his best attempt of 81.12m in the qualification round.
#1 Julian Weber – 91.51m

World No. 1 javelin athlete, Julian Weber showcased tremendous consistency throughout the 2025 season. He kicked off the proceedings by winning a gold medal at the Doha Diamond League with a throw of 91.06m.
Weber’s personal best of 91.51m came during the Zurich Diamond League, which fetched him a gold medal. Afterwards, Weber finished first in the qualification round of World Athletics Championships with his throw of 87.21m. However, the German ended fifth in the final after throwing the javelin 86.11m far.
