Neeraj Chopra will return to action next month after playing two events in May.
In 2025, Neeraj Chopra has taken off right from where he stopped last season and has achieved podium finish in each of the three events that he has competed in so far this year. Chopra, a two-time Olympic medallist, was last in action at the JK Memorial Athletics Meet in Poland on May 23 (Friday).
The 27-year-old began his 2025 season at the Polish International Meet, where he clinched top place. He then followed it by competing in a couple of events in May, including the Doha Diamond League in Qatar and the Janusz Kusocinski Memorial Athletics Meet in Poland.
Chopra will next be in action at the Ostrava Golden Spike Athletics meeting in the Czech Republic on June 24. The upcoming competition will be Neeraj’s fourth event in the ongoing season, having played three events so far.
He will have his eyes set on the upcoming 2025 World Athletics Championships, which is the most crucial event coming up in the ongoing season. The Indian National Record holder will also compete in the Neeraj Chopra Classic 2025 javelin throw meet. The tournament was earlier scheduled to take place on May 24 but was postponed.
The tournament organizers are yet to finalize the new dates but are reportedly looking at the July window to host the inaugural edition of the competition.

Neeraj Chopra began his 2025 season with an 84.52m throw at the Potch Invitational Meet, which took place on April 16 in South Africa. He topped the podium, bagging the first position in the standings.
