When did Neeraj Chopra last win a Diamond League title before Paris DL 2025?

Neeraj Chopra won the season’s first Diamond League title at the Paris Diamond League 2025 on Saturday (June 21). He registered a best throw of 88.16m in his first attempt to clinch his first Diamond League title in two years.
This is Neeraj Chopra‘s second title in the 2025 season, having previously won the Potch Invitational Meet in South Africa on April 16 with an 84.52m throw. The two-time Olympic medalist skipped the previous edition of the Paris Diamond League to prepare for the 2024 Olympics.
Speaking of the Paris Diamond League 2025, Chopra finished atop the standings despite three consecutive foul throws in his third, fourth, and fifth attempts. Germany’s Julian Weber secured the second position with a best throw of 87.88m, while Luiz Mauricio da Silva registered a best throw of 86.62m to secure the third spot. Silva’s throw at the Paris Diamond League 2025 is his new best on European soil.
Neeraj Chopra last won a Diamond League title in Lausanne in June 2023. The Indian Javelin thrower registered a throw of 87.66m to clinch a Diamond League title. His best throw came in the fifth attempt as he was returning to action after missing three events in June due to a muscle strain he sustained during training.
Before that, he clinched a top finish in the Doha Diamond League 2025 with a best throw of 88.67m.
When will Neeraj Chopra be seen in action again?
Neeraj Chopra will next compete at the Ostrava Golden Spike Athletics meeting in the Czech Republic on June 24. The upcoming competition will be Neeraj’s fifth event in the current season; he has participated in four competitions so far.
He will then return to India to compete in the inaugural Neeraj Chopra Classic (NC Classic), scheduled to take place in Bengaluru on July 5. The event will be conducted by India’s finest javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, with support from JSW, Athletics Federation of India (AFI), and World Athletics.
The event will feature a star-studded lineup, with top players from around the globe and Indian stars competing in the one-day competition.
