Badminton Asia Championships 2023 Draws announced: Lakshya Sen to start against Singapore's Loh Kean Yew

The competition will begin on April 25.

The Badminton Asia Championships 2023 (BAC 2023) is set to be held from April 25, 2023, to 30 April in Dubai, UAE. Top shuttlers from Asia are set to participate in the Continental Individual Championships. The draws for BAC 2023 was announced earlier today with India having a good number of participants in this edition. PV Sindhu won the bronze medal in the 2022 edition and was the lone medallist from India. 

The continental championships were first inaugurated in 1962. Since 1994, BAC 2023 has been held regularly every year (apart from 2020 and 2021 due to Covid-19). This will also be the 37th edition of the Badminton Asia Championships (individual). Each section has four qualifying groups and the table toppers will proceed to the main draw. World Championships bronze medallist Ashwini Ponanppa will have to progress through from the qualifiers to make it to the group stages.
