PV Sindhu to lead Indian contingent at Badminton Asia Championships 2023
Players from 28 countries have confirmed their participation in the tournament.
After a successful first edition in February this year, the Badminton Asia Championships is set to make a comeback in Dubai from 25–30 April 2023 at the Sheikh Rashid Bin Hamdan Indoor Hall, Al Nasr Club in Dubai, where most of Asia’s and the world’s best badminton players will lock horns to clinch Asia's top badminton title. Almost 300 badminton players from 28 participating nations are getting ready to compete in the prestigious KhiladiX.com Dubai 2023 Badminton Asia Championships Powered by Floki.
The April Championships will have five events featuring men’s and women’s singles, men’s and women’s doubles and mixed doubles. There will be a main draw and a qualifying draw in each of these categories. This tournament is graded based on the BWF points system for the BWF World Tour Super 1000 event.
The Badminton Asia Championships will be contested by top teams like China, Korea, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei etc. with some of the world’s top badminton players including Olympic medallists leading their respective teams.
Hosted under the honourable patronage of UAE Cabinet Member and Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mabarak Al Nahyan, the championship is sponsored by some of the leading international brands.

Indian contingent for Badminton Asia Championships 2023
Team India for the Badminton Asia Championships will be led by two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu, Prannoy HS, Kidambi Srikanth, Saina Nehwal, Lakshya Sen, Satwiksairaj, Chirag Shetty, Treesa Jolly, Gayatri Gopichand among others. The Badminton Asia Championships will witness a total of seven Indian singles players and twelve doubles pairs from the country competing for the top prize.
The Badminton Asia Championships have a lot to offer. Local fans are also excited about the young and energetic host team of UAE that gave some promising performances last time. Players from many Middle Eastern teams like Bahrain, Syria, Jordan, Iraq and Iran will also showcase their talent to the world on this international platform.
