Only two Indonesian players are set to take part in the competition

After a week's break the badminton action shifts to North America for the Canada Open (BWF 500) which is set to held in Markin-MacPhail Centre in Calgary. Only two Indonesian shuttlers are set to take part in the upcoming week with no participation in four categories (men's singles, women's singles and doubles, and mixed doubles)

Second seed Mohammad Ahsan and Hendra Setiawan will be the only players representing Indonesia at the Canada Open 2023. They are set to take on a qualifier in the opening round and have a smooth path till the semi-finals. If they are through to the semis then they might clash with third seed from Denmark Kim Astrup and Anders Skaarup Rasmussen.

World No.1 in men's singles, Viktor Axelsen withdrew from the tournament earlier today after winning the European Games title by defeating France's Christo Popov.
