Full list of players who have withdrawn from Japan Open 2023

None of the Indian's have withdrawn from the tournament so far
After the successful completion of Korea Open last week, the action now shifts to Japan Open 2023 - BWF 750. Majority of the top players have made their presence felt in the tournament after a brief break from BWF World Tour. Men's singles top ranked, Viktor Axelsen makes his entry into the circuit after winning the Indonesia Open in June. Akane Yamaguchi in the women's singles is the top seed who is closely followed by Korea's An Se Young.
Several players have withdrawn from Japan Open 2023, due to various reasons. The former top-10 player from Denmark last played at the Singapore Open in June and since has failed to participate in any tournament. He entered the Indonesia Open - BWF 1000 but withdrew from the tournament in the end.
Apart from Gemke Popov brothers too have withdrawn from the Japan Open 2023. Junior Popov 'Christo' last played at the Indonesia Open and subsequently in the opening round against Chou Tien Chen suffered from an injury. He is yet to recover back completely from injury and might feature in the upcoming tournaments.
In the women's section, Canada's Michelle Li and Thailand's number two Busanan Ongbamrungphan have dropped out of the tournament. Busanan retired at the Canada Open in the and since is yet to make a comeback.
