List of all BWF World Tour Super 1000 Series events in 2024

We look at the list of all the highest-level events of the cycle 2024-26.
The Super 1000 Series events are BWF World Tour’s highest level. In the 2024-26 cycle, there will be four BWF World Tour Super 1000 tournaments – Malaysia Open, All England Open, China Open, and Indonesia Open. Malaysia Open has been upgraded to the Super 1000 status from 2023 onwards.

List of all BWF Super 1000 Series events in 2024
January 09-14: Malaysia Open
Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur hosted the first premier event of the new cycle from January 9th to 14th. In the Men’s Singles final, Anders Antonsen emerged victorious against Shi Yuqi, winning in straight sets. Meanwhile, the reigning Women’s Singles World Champion, An Se Young, clinched the gold medal in the final, defeating Tai Tzu Ying.
March 12-17: All England Open
The All England Open, the oldest badminton tournament, inaugurated in 1899, has been held at the Birmingham Arena since 1994. Over its 123-year history, only two Indian players have secured the coveted Gold Medal:
- Prakash Padukone (1980)
- Pullela Gopichand (2001)
June 04-09: Indonesia Open
The Indonesia Open, one of the four original badminton events, holds a prestigious place as a Super 1000 tournament. The National Capital Jakarta will serve as the host city for this exciting competition.
Notably, in the 123-year-long history of the Indonesia Open, only two Indian players have secured the coveted Gold Medal:
- Saina Nehwal, with three victories in 2009, 2010, and 2012
- Kidambi Srikanth, who clinched the title in 2017
- Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty in 2023
September 17-22: China Open
Changzhou is set to host the final Super 1000 event of the year, taking place from September 17th to 22nd. The China Open, one of the three original Super 1000 tournaments, stands alongside the prestigious England and Indonesia Opens.
Notably, in the China Open’s storied history, three Indian badminton stars have etched their names in gold:
- Kidambi Srikanth (2014)
- Saina Nehwal (2014)
- PV Sindhu (2016)
