China Open 2024: Updated Schedule, fixtures, results, live streaming details
Shi Yu Qi and An se-Young will be the top seeds in China Open 2024.
The badminton world’s focus shifts to China this week as the China Open 2024 gets underway on September 17. This tournament marks the first Super 1000 event on the BWF World Tour circuit since Paris Olympics. Top Indian players, including Lakshya Sen, PV Sindhu and the pair Chirag Shetty/Satwik Sairaj Rankireddy, have still not made a return to the circuit since Paris.
Sen had an impressive run in Paris, reaching the semifinals before losing to Viktor Axelsen. He ultimately missed out on the bronze medal, after going down to Lee Zii Jia on Malaysia in the bronze medal match. Lee, the Paris bronze medallist and number #3 seed in China, will be playing his second tournament since Paris after an early exit at the Japan Open last month, where French player Alex Lanier defeated him.
