BWF German Open 2025: Updated Schedule, fixtures, results & live streaming details

Olympic champion Viktor Axelsen is the top seed.
The badminton world’s focus shifts to Germany this week as the German Open 2025 gets underway from February 25. Following the Thailand Masters, this Super 300 tournament on the BWF World Tour circuit will be the first major BWF event in February. The tournament has a total prize pool of US$240,000.
Two-time Olympic champion Viktor Axelsen will be back in action. He last won the India Open Super 750 in January, defeating Hong Kong’s Lee Cheuk Yiu in the final. The top seed in the tournament, Axelsen will face competition from Singapore’s Loh Kean Yew, the second seed, along with the Popov brothers.
In women’s singles, Singapore’s Yeo Jia Min is the top seed, followed by USA’s Beiwen Zhang. Defending champion Mia Blichfeldt is seeded fourth. In women’s doubles, Bulgaria’s Gabriela Stoeva/Stefani Stoeva hold the top seed. Meanwhile, the top-seeded mixed doubles pair is Denmark’s Jesper Toft/Amalie Magelund.
