India Open 2025: Updated Schedule, fixtures, results, live streaming details

India will field it’s largest ever contingent.

Two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu will lead a strong 24-member Indian team at the India Open 2025, set to take place in New Delhi at the KD Jadhav Indoor Hall. The tournament, part of the BWF World Tour Super 750 series, is the second event of the 2025 badminton season.

Sindhu, who missed the Malaysia Open, will face Shuo Yun Sung of Chinese Taipei in her women’s singles opener. Other Indian players in women’s singles include Malvika Bansod, Aakarshi Kashyap, Anupama Upadhyaya, and Rakshita Sree.

The men’s singles will feature Paris 2024 semi-finalists Lakshya Sen and HS Prannoy. In men’s doubles, the spotlight will be on Asian Games champions Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, who are expected to face tough competition from China’s Liang Weikeng and Wang Chang, and Malaysia’s Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik.

Former world no. #1 Kidambi Srikanth and Kiran George were added to the men’s singles draw following the late withdrawals of China’s Shi Yuqi and Indonesia’s Anthony Ginting.

In women’s doubles, India’s challenge will be led by Treesa Jolly–Gayatri Gopichand and Ashwini Ponnappa-Tanisha Crasto, both of whom are also Paris 2024 Olympians.
