Number 2 seed Anders Antonsen will look to defend his Indonesia Masters title.
The badminton world’s focus shifts to Indonesia this week as the Indonesia Masters 2025 gets underway on January 21. After the India Open, the Super 500 tournament on the BWF World Tour circuit will only be the third major BWF tournament after the World Tour Finals last month. The tournament has a total prize pool of US$475,000.
Viktor Axelsen and An Se Young clinched the India Open crown but will not be participating in the upcoming Indonesia Masters 2025.
Anders Antonsen and Shi Yuqi, who both skipped the India Open following their final match at the Malaysia Open 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, are set to return for the Indonesia Masters. Shi Yuqi will be competing as the number #1 seed, while Antonsen holds the number #2 seed and will also defend his title.

In the women’s singles, the field is led by Wang Zhiyi. Meanwhile, the top seeds in the mixed doubles category are the experienced duo of Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei. In women’s doubles, China’s Li Yijing and Luo Xumin are the number #1 seeds.
