Amongst the Indian players, four of them will not be featuring in the event. Sankar Muthusamy Subramanian had announced his withdrawal early last month as he was later joined by Ayush Shetty, Kiran George and Priyanshu Rajawat. Malaysia’s Soong Joo Ven and Cheam June Wei had earlier missed the Korea Masters and will be missing all the action in Japan too.
