Badminton Asia Championships 2025: All you need to know about prize money & points on offer

The Badminton Asia Championships 2025 prize money is US$500.
The 42nd edition of the Badminton Asia Championships 2025 is being played at the Ningbo Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium, China, from April 8 to 13. Since the continent is a powerhouse in the sport, the world’s best players are in action this week.
While there have been a few withdrawals, the quality of players in the main draw in all five categories is top-notch. Interestingly, the points awarded are the same as those in the Super 1000 tournament, although the prize money is slightly less.

As far as the Indian representation is concerned, there is a full-strength squad in the singles events. Star players like PV Sindhu, Lakshya Sen, and HS Prannoy are competing for top honours at the annual continental championship.
However, the situation in the doubles category is disappointing as the duo of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty in men’s doubles. Whereas in women’s doubles, Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand have withdrawn their names from the competition.
Hence, all eyes are on the upcoming promising Mixed Doubles team of Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto. It will be interesting to see if the entire squad can hold their own, as the country has had a disappointing year in the sport so far.
