BWF Hylo Open 2025: All you need to know about prize money & points on offer

The total prize pool of BWF Hylo Open 2025 is USD 475,000.
The 38th edition of the BWF Hylo Open 2025 is being played from October 28 to November 2 at the Saarlandhalle in Saarbrucken, Germany. The qualifiers and the first-round matches are scheduled for the first two days, while the later rounds begin on October 30.
Since it’s a BWF Super 500 tournament, it has a good mix of marquee names and rookies. The Men’s Singles and Men’s Doubles sections especially are star-studded.
Anders Antonsen is set to be challenged by the likes of Jonatan Christie, Chou Tien Chen and Alex Lanier for the title, while Viktor Axelsen looks to make his way back up the charts, after spending a long time on the sidelines due to injury.
On the other hand, the Men’s Doubles event includes a number of top Malaysian pairings in the form of Aaron Chia / Soh Wooi Yik, Goh Sze Fei / Nur Izzuddin and Man Wei Chong / Kai Wun Tee.
The two Women’s events are bereft of big names. Putri Kusuma Wardani is the only participant in the top 10 of the BWF Women’s Singles World Rankings, while there is none in the Women’s Doubles section.
The Indian contingent, which had a horror outing at the French Open, is set to be heavily depleted here in Germany. Lakshya Sen and Ayush Shetty, who will be looking to be gain some rhythm, are the top names to watch out for.

The withdrawal of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy/Chirag Shetty significantly weakens India’s presence in the doubles section. The nation will be represented by only one pair each in Men’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles, and none in Women’s Doubles.
