BWF Hylo Open 2025: Updated schedule, fixtures, results, live streaming details

PV Sindhu, Satwik-Chirag will skip the BWF Hylo Open 2025.

The action in the BWF World Tour continues, with the Hylo Open set to be played out from 28th October to 2nd November. A Super 500 event, it has a prize pool of USD 475,000. This will be the 38th edition of the competition and it is set to take place at Saarlandhalle in Saarbrucken, Germany. 

The tournament is set to have a good mix of stars as well as upcoming players. The Men’s Singles and Men’s Doubles sections especially consist of marquee names.

While the former includes the likes of Anders Antonsen, Jonatan Christie, Chou Tien Chen and Alex Lanier, the latter includes a number of top Malaysian pairings in the form of Aaron Chia / Soh Wooi Yik, Goh Sze Fei / Nur Izzuddin and Man Wei Chong / Kai Wun Tee.

On the other hand, the Women’s Singles and Women’s Doubles events are bereft of big names. In fact, not a single pairing from the BWF Women’s Doubles World Rankings is taking part in the competition.

The Indian contingent too is heavily depleted, with the likes of PV Sindhu and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy/Chirag Shetty pulling out.

Lakshya Sen and Ayush Shetty are the top names in the Men’s Singles category, while the corresponding Women’s section consists of a number of rookies in the form of Unnati Hooda, Anupama Upadhyaya and Anmol Kharb among others.

The Doubles sections barely have any representation, with only one pair each in Men’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles, and none in Women’s Doubles.
