PV Sindhu to get married in Udaipur on December 22: Report

The wedding rituals for PV Sindhuâs marriage is to start on December 20.
Indian star shuttler PV Sindhu is set to tie the knot later this month, according to a report. The wedding is planned for December 22 in Udaipur, but celebrations will start from 20th December onwards. The two-time Olympic Medalist is embarking on a new chapter in her life.
According to report from The Hindu, Sindhu will get married to the Executive Director of Posidex Technologies, Mr Venkata Datta Sai, on December 22.
Venkata Datta Sai, who is based in Hyderabad has had a deep passion for technology since his childhood. He was impressed by how technology can transform peopleâs lives. Now he holds a key position in Indiaâs one of the leading Enterprise of Information Insights and Analytics companies, Posidex Technologies.
The report adds that the wedding reception will be held in Hyderabad on December 24.
Last week PV Sindhu won the Syed Modi International by defeating Chinaâs youngster Wu Luo Yu (21-16, 21-14). This was her third Syed Modi title. Sindhu just dropped a single game in the entire tournament, that came against compatriot Ira Sharma, who gave a tough fight to Sindhu in the pre-quarterfinals.
The 29-year-old has had a decorated badminton career so far. She has won two Olympic medals and five World Championships medals including a gold in 2019. Sindhu has won a total of 18 titles so far in her career. She also has won three Commonwealth Games medals (One Gold, One Silver and One Bronze) and a silver in Asian Games as well.
She is the first and only Indian to win the BWF World Tour Finals. Sindhu, who is also a Padma Shri and Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna award winner, also has won two Uber Cup bronze medals and earlier this year she played a key role in helping India win the Asian Womenâs Badminton Championships for the first time. She has been an integral part of Indian Badminton.
Last week, news emerged that Sindhu has not registered for BWF Super 1000 Malaysia Open, which is scheduled to take place in the second week of January 2025. Fans were shocked to see Sindhu not participating in the tournament especially when it was the first tournament of the year. Now itâs clear that Sindhu wonât participate because of her wedding.
