France’s Christo Popov leads the men’s singles field.

The badminton world’s focus shifts to Germany this week as the YONEX German Open 2026 gets underway from February 24. This Super 300 tournament on the BWF World Tour circuit is the fifth event on the 2026 BWF World Tour calendar. The tournament has a total prize pool of US$250,000.

France’s Christo Popov enters as the top seed in men’s singles. He will face strong competition from China’s Li Shifeng, the second seed, along with Taiwan’s Chou Tien-chen and Lin Chun-yi.

In women’s singles, China’s Wang Zhiyi is the top seed, with Han Yue seeded second, followed by Thailand’s Pornpawee Chochuwong.

In men’s doubles, Malaysia’s Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik are the top seeds, while Bulgaria’s Gabriela Stoeva and Stefani Stoeva lead the women’s doubles draw. China’s Feng Yanzhe and Huang Dongping are the top seeds in mixed doubles.
